Pancake Tuesday in Senior Infants

Today was Pancake Tuesday. The boys and girls in Ms. Boland's class were so lucky to make some pancakes with Ms. Kenny, Ms. Heavey and Ms. Horan today. The children helped Ms. Kenny make the batter using flour, eggs and milk. Then Ms. Heavey and Ms. Horan fried and tossed the pancake in the pan. Ms. Kenny read a lovely story called The Big Pancake. It was a great story. The children picked their toppings for the pancakes - Chocolate Spread or Lemon and Sugar. They were so tasty. Senior Infants really enjoyed their pancakes. Senior Infants say a big thank you to Ms. Horan, Ms. Heavey and Ms. Kenny for making pancakes with us!

Afterwards we learned the poem about pancakes:

Mix a pancake,

Stir a pancake,

Pop it in the pan.

Fry a pancake,

Toss a pancake,

Catch it if you can!
