Moon sand: This is a very simple recipe to make your own moon sand at home. The children will be entertained for hours!
What to do:
- Mix 8 cups of flour and 1 cup of baby oil together in a large bowl until all of the oil is mixed in. Pour into a tray or box and enjoy hours of fun!
Playdough: This recipe is easy to follow but gets quite messy so be prepared! Can be stored in a plastic tub or sandwich bag and re-used.
What to do:
- Mix 8 tablespoons of plain flour and 2 tablespoons of salt into a large mixing bowl.
- Add 60ml of water and a few drops of food colouring (any colour of your choice!) and mix together with your hands.
- You can continue to mix together in the bowl or dust a table or work area with some flour and knead together. You can add some more drops of food colouring here to make the playdough darker.
- Store in a small tub or sandwich bag when you are finished using it.
