Halloween in Junior Infants
There was lots of fun had in Ms. Boland's Junior Infants in October as we prepared for Halloween.
We loved playing in the Witch's Kitchen where we created our own potions and spells. We read lots of spooky stories including Room on the Broom. We listened to a story about a square pumpkin and painted our own pumpkin. We entered the Pumpkin competition with a ghost pumpkin. We learned the rhyme 5 Little Pumpkins and printed 5 pumpkins on a gate using apples. We made chocolate apples with spooky sprinkles.
On Friday 22nd October we got to dress up in our costumes. We went on a Spooky Walk and met some witches in the garden. We got such a fright but they were kind witches who gave us some yummy Halloween jellies. We had a disco on yard at our Halloween Hooley. It was a great day!
Have a look at some of our photos from Halloween!
