Week 6 – Seesaw
Doodle Families
Welcome to Week 6, and our final week, of Doodle Families – we hope you had fun last week doing your activities and reading your book together!
This week we are looking at Reading.
This week’s small package of work is based around this and remember, these are fun shared activities – not homework!!
There is more information on the website about Reading including three videos about reading with your child on our website - www.sacredheartjns.ie/doodlefamilies
There are some sheets from the Doodle Diary in your home pack and, as usual, there is a book for you both to share and keep.
If you have any concerns yourself about your literacy levels there is a link to NALA – the National Adult Literacy Agency – below. They regularly run free courses to assist adults with reading, writing and maths. Contact Ms. Healy for more information.
I want to take this chance to thank you for your engagement in the Doodle Families programme. I am sending home a survey for you to fill in, this is VITAL to receive our funding so we can continue the programme. Please fill it in and send it back tomorrow, it will only take 3 minutes.
Once again we would love to see photos of your work together, you can share them with the teacher via SeeSaw or send them to Ms. Healy – all the details are at the bottom of this page!
Thank you,
Gaye Healy HSCL
