Biodiversity Day of Action

The Family Nature Walk was a great success.  Thanks to all parents who could make it.  It was a cold day for it but it certainly woke us all up and we had lots of fun! 

Pat Hunt (Heritage in Schools) did a great job in helping us to build our Bug Hotel over the past few weeks.  We all learned so much about nature from him.  Check out the Junior Infants weeding the flower beds and looking for mini beasts!

On 17th of February, Biodiversity Day of Action, we had a visit from Enda Reilly, singer/songwriter.  He joined us for Community Singing and taught us songs about Sustainability and Biodiversity.  The songs were so catchy we were singing them all the way back to our classrooms :-)
